Letter requesting funding for charity

While writing a grant letter the attitude should be very polite and sincere. It should not reflect any kind of boosting attitude towards the applicant. Grant application is issued to revert back that the application for the grant has been accepted and approved. Application letter is a way by which a person can request or appeal for any work related solutions.

Subject: Grant application.
Dear Mack,
The Any town Homeless Teen Drop-in Center is pleased to submit this grant proposal for your review. We hope our nonprofit can partner with National Foundation in the mutual effort to sustain this resource where homeless teens can get off the streets and feel safe and valued while gaining much-needed life skills and being linked with a variety of community resources.
More than 120 teens have availed themselves of the drop-in center’s services since we opened six months ago. We have broad-based community support and are poised to have an even greater impact in the coming years. Thus, we are requesting $22,500 in grant funding to help pay the salary of a second part-time intake counselor for the next two years.
Please contact me, the executive director, at (555) 555-1212 if you have any questions about our proposal.
Yours Truly,
Carmen Miles.
